Happy Friday the 13th!

Hi!

The other day, I went to Claire's with a lovely friend of mine, who easily convinced me to get the four magnetic nail polish colors they had in stock. Unfortunately, they did not have the blue one (sad face). Today, I'm going to show you the green one!

Ooooh...

Aaaah...

This might be one of my favorite nail trends! Actually, I'm not sure if you can tell, but this was not a complete success, as the lines did not go all the way across to the free edges of my nails. I still love this mani though and I can't wait to try the rest! Magnetic nail polish yay!!

Here they are, all lined up.

They're $8.50 and BOGO1/2. You can purchase them on their website (here). That's what I should have done - Doh! Now I've got to hunt down that blue!

That's all for now. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Blue's Clues!

Hi!

I'm finally getting to post this mani! I know it's nothing new or extraodinary, but it feels so good to post something after all this time!

Here is the oldie, but goodie, Misa - Right Here Now, No More Later (boy, that's a mouthful!)

For anyone who's around kids a lot, you might know the show "Blue's Clues" - doesn't this stamp in this color combo totally remind you of it? (Stamp is DRK-A with Konad special polish in Blue)

And I don't know why, but this picture makes me LOL. I love my big little Bacon! I say big little because she's a big girl, but she's always going to be my little Bacon! Hehe!

Look at her crazy smile! LOL

Here she is with the other two crazy dogs!

And that concludes this post! Thanks for stopping by!

New Bundle Monster Plates Coming Soon!

Hi!

I couldn't help but post about the new Bundle Monster plates that will be coming out in 4-5 weeks (end of April, early May). This will be right around my birthday too, so I know what I'll be getting myself! Hehehe!

Here are the first two pictures posted on Bundle Monster's Facebook.

**Edited to add**

Aren't they awesome?? I can't wait to see the rest of the plates!

That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!

Versatile Blogger Award!

Hi!

I hope you're all well! I've been so exhausted lately. Just decided to call it a night (from work) and wanted to make a quick post. Although I haven't updated in a while, I do like to respond to anyone who comments. When I saw MissAdelinne's comment about nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award, I was beyond thrilled! This is my first award and I am so grateful for it! It reminds me of when I was in elementary school and got those pretty, shiny stars - WINNING! Hehehe.

This may sound silly, but I feel very touched by this, so thank you, MissAdelinne :)

So here are the rules...

1. Put the link to who gave you the award.
2. Put the award in your post.
3. Choose 5 blogs under 200 followers and give them the award.
4. Let them know that you have awarded them

And the award goes to....:
La Chinita
Meg's Manicures
Miu
My Nail Polish Addiction
Woman in the Garden
**Edited to add**
Nail Soup

Do check these blogs out! They're pretty awesome :)

That's all for now. My nails are a hot mess at the moment, but I have some pics I never got around to posting, so hopefully I can get those up soon. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Mystery Nails

Hi!

I'm so late with posting! Just started a temp job earlier this week and it's been crazy here! I have a little time, so I wanted to make a quick post.

When I first put this on, it reminded me of a giraffe. FH said it looked like a turtle shell. My friend said it looked like broken eggshells. What do you see?

Base colors are OPI "Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh?" and Color Club "Blue-ming". Stamp is from DRK-A plate using Konad Special Polish in White.

Also, there's a DRK-A contest! I didn't check all the details yet, but there will be 42 winners, 1 winner per image on the plate. Winners will get 50% off the DRK-B plate that's coming out soon! You can check the details of the contest at this site Esmaltaradas. Right now, the contest is running until 11 pm (Brasília official time) of April 4th 2012. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! Hope I have time to join in on the fun too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Color Club Blossoming Swatches

Hi!

I have swatches of four of the colors from Color Club's Blossoming collection! When I won their nail art contest, I asked if they could send these colors and they were kind enough to do so. Yay!

Hydrangea Kiss

Sweetpea

Blue-ming

Blushing Rose

With the exception of Blushing Rose, application was pretty smooth. Other than that, I think this is a really pretty collection and I'll probably be purchasing the purple Lavendarling in the near future.

Does this collection call out to you? Have you purchased any? If so, which one(s)?

As always, thanks for stopping by! I cherish each and every one of you!

Swirls!

Hi!

Here to show you a request made by Sammersaurus aka The Nailasaurus! I was a bit nervous doing this mani because she is a master at stamping and I was afraid I'd disappoint. I'm 1000% sure she'd do this way better and I can only hope to reach her level someday (soon). Practice makes perfect right? And practice I will! So here is an image from the DRK-A plate (2nd row, 5-across).

I used Color Club Sweetpea for the base and Color Club Revvvolution for the stamping. I tried to center the image on my index finger while the rest of my nails have it off center. I think I prefer it off center. Which do you prefer?

Well, I don't know about you, but that was exciting for me! Thank you for the request! That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!

Leap Year Day!

Hi again!

It's Leap Year Day! For anyone who doesn't know why we have leap year (I didn't!), check out this link! Since this date only comes around every 4 years, I thought I'd make a back to back post using an image from the DRK-A plate!

To my naked eye, I thought the stamping looked pretty good, but in the picture, I see that my stamping wasn't great. I liked it on my nails though! It kind of looked like a full nail sticker, which I'm not sure is a good thing, but I still liked it :)

Can anyone see a difference in the colors on my nails? Here's what I used.

Index - China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le
Middle & Pinky - Color Club Hydrangea Kiss
Ring - Essie Lapis of Luxury

Konad Special Polish White for stamping on all nails.

Hope you enjoyed my Leap Year Day double post! Thanks for stopping by!

DRK-A Stamping Plate!

Hi!

About a week or two ago I bought a big stamping plate! I resisted buying it, but ultimately, the cute designs won me over. After getting it in the mail, I was so glad I gave in! The images are HUGE! It feels SO good to be able to stamp and not have to worry about placing it just right on my nail so that the whole image fits - no worry here at all! And did I mention how cute the designs are?!

I took a picture of it next to a Konad, the new Bundle Monster, and an XL stamping plate.

Here is the XL-A plate on top of the DRK-A plate.

There's going to be a DRK-B plate coming out next month. No images yet, but if they're anything like DRK-A, I'm going to be all over it! I can't wait to see!

Are there any images you'd like to see stamped? Any specific color combinations? Let me know and I'll do my best with what I have on hand. Thanks for stopping by!

**Update with links!**

I purchased the plate using this form:

Love In Bloom Tutorial

Hi!

Today, I have a tutorial for the Love In Bloom mani! I usually adjust the pictures so that the colors look more accurate, but it's been a crazy week and my right eyelid is swollen for reasons unknown. So since this is a tutorial and I really wanted to get this up, I hope you will forgive me.

First things first, base color! I used Color Club in Candy Cane, which I won in one of their Facebook Friday giveaways!

Next, use a small, thin brush to paint the l-o-v-e. I used Color Club in Revvvolution. As you can see, it's a little hard to read it at this point.

Here, I started to outline the L with Color Club Lazer Pink.

And the rest all outlined. Looking better, isn't it?

Here, I went over the heart with Art Club Black Hologram to help it stand out more.

And the rest all lined.

Then I used a small dotting tool for the flowers using Color Club Lazer Pink and Art Club Satin White. Sorry, I didn't get pictures of how I dotted the flowers, but there's a great video on youtube by the lovely Nailasaurus. Her flowers are much prettier!

Afterwards, I carefully put on topcoat so as not to smear the design and to smooth it all out. And that's it! Hope this is helpful to anyone who wants to try it! Thanks for stopping by!

♥ V-Day Mani's! ♥

Hi!

Whether you celebrated or not, I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day! I enjoyed a nice homemade dinner with my FH and his brother and brother's girlfriend. FH even brought home some Lindt dark chocolate for me - YUM! What I came here to show you are the entries I posted for Color Club's V-Day mani contest! How's about a collage?

I named the left one "Love In Bloom" and the one on the right is "Parade of Hearts". I don't think a name was required, but they popped into my head and I liked them, so I figured why not?

Originally, I had done another V-Day mani for the contest, but I re-read the rules and realized I hadn't adhered to them by using too many Art Club colors. So then I tried to reproduce it, which would be the "Parade of Hearts" mani. Here's the original.

I thought it looked cute short too.

This was a nice challenge and I'm happy with what I came up with. There are other great entries too!! So exciting!!

Hehe okay, that's all for now! Thanks for stopping by!

Giants

Hi!

I know I'm late with this, but I wanted to post the mani I sported for the Super Bowl. Since I'm a New Yorker, I just had to support my home team Giants! I actually don't follow football at all and didn't think I'd be into the game but I was hollering at the screen the whole game lol. It was pretty intense and SO FUN! Though that Tom Brady has got quite an arm, I am proud to say that the Giants won! YAY!

I did a fairly simple mani using OPI in 'Dating A Royal' which is such a gorgeous blue! One of my faves for sure. Unfortunately, the topcoat bubbled up, so I will have to re-swatch this beauty at some point. For the Giants logo I used Wet N Wild Wild Shine in 'French White Crème' and the red stripe is Art Club in 'Red On Red'.

On another note, Color Club is having a nail art contest on their Facebook page. They posted this:

Color Club Nail Lacquer

Valentine’s day is upon us! Ah..the season of significant others, but we see it as another holiday to have an awesome manicure. :) Color Club is holding a Valentine’s Day manicure contest. Just letting you know that I am not affiliated with Color Club. I just really like their polishes, giveaways, and contests. Now to get working on those V-day mani's! Hope you'll join in the fun!

That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!

Edgy Leaves

Hi!

For this post, I bring you Essie in 'Pretty Edgy'. I caught this picture as the sun was setting behind some houses. I'm not sure if you can tell, but it's reflected on my nails, which I think is pretty cool.

I thought a nice leafy print would work well with this color so I got out my Bundle Monster plate (BM19) and stamped my ring finger using Konad special polish in white.

Let me tell you if you don't know already - the original Bundle Monster full nail images are quite small. Even after I cut my nails down, the image didn't cover my nail - almost, but not entirely. I just stamped wherever I thought looked unfinished and voila! I was happy with how it came out.

If you're curious about the size of these full nail images, check out this AWESOME post by the Nailasaurus. She compares the sizes of full nail images from Konad, original Bundle Monster, new Bundle Monster, and Red Angel - very, very awesome. She is a must follow, especially if you love stamping! Love. That. Blog.

Year of the Dragon

Hi!

Yesterday was the Lunar New Year and we're now in the year of the Dragon! Over the weekend I had planned a manicure to celebrate but it was a big fail, so I ended up doing something else and it came out much better.

I was so happy with how this turned out! Looks like fire doesn't it?? Fiery Dragon's breath right on my nails! I used Zoya in 'Kimmy' and Orly in 'Glitz & Glamour'.

That's all for now! I wish everyone loads of happiness and good health! Thanks for stopping by!

In the Mood

Hi!

I'm so excited today! I made my very first video playing with Claire's Mood Color Changing Nail Polish in Awesome/Silly! What a perfect name to go with my mood right now too! It feels so awesome to create something and just a teensy bit silly because I'm not sure if anyone will even be interested in watching my nails change colors. Regardless, it was fun to put together! So here it is :)

And some pics!

First pic is indoor light. Second pic is using flash, which IMO is more color accurate than the first one. (*Edited to add: lighter color (Silly) is under hot water and darker color (Awesome) is under cold water*)

So, I hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed putting it together! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stripes

Hi!

This post is all about the mani I sported in honor of my niece's 10th birthday last week using her two favorite colors - yellow and purple.

I used China Glaze - Happy Go Lucky for the yellow base and Art Club by Color Club striper - Orchistra for the purple stripes.

That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by! =)

Special Day, Special Color

Hellooo!

Today is my niece’s 10th birthday! I can’t believe she’s growing up so fast! Seems like only yesterday she was this tiny baby girl and now she’s getting so tall! Her party is this weekend, so later I’m going to do a mani using her favorite colors – yellow and purple. But for this post, I have something else to show you!

Yesterday I received a bottle of De-Luxe-Cious that I won from Color Club and it is such a unique color! It’s this steel-y bluish gray color with a ton of holographic glitter. See for yourself!

De-Luxe-Cious is a bit sheer. I did three coats in the first picture. In the second picture I did two coats over a coat of Sci-Fi by China Glaze. To me, De-Luxe-Cious by itself has a softer look and has more depth to it, which I think I prefer. Can you see a difference?

Until next time! Thanks for stopping by!

In Da Club

Hellooo!

So Color Club does this giveaway on Facebook every Friday where they post a bottle picture of a Color Club nail polish and you e-mail them two guesses of what the name of the nail polish is. Usually the winner is the first person who guesses it right, but today they let the first five win, and guess what?? I was one of the five! In honor of Color Club's generosity, I wanted to do a celebratory mani using one of my Color Club polishes - Ultra Violet.

I did two coats here. In the pictures it looks like I could've used another coat, but it looks fine to my naked eye. I don't even know how many pictures I took, but it was a lot! My camera just refused to pick up the gorgeous duochrome. If you think the picture looks nice, it looks even better in person! Even when FH saw it, he said "Ooh, it's chromey!" Of course he meant duochromey, but it was cute nonetheless hehe.

If you aren't following Color Club on Facebook, here's the link: Color Club Facebook Page. Even if you prefer not to participate in their giveaways, people post a lot of nice pictures on their wall, so check them out. =)

That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!

Shoes!

Hellooo!

My name is Jen and I'm a shopaholic. I'm pretty bad because I end up buying things that I don't really use. For instance, high heels. I have all these high heels that I don't really wear, but I do love to whip them out every so often and prance around in them. I went to TJ Maxx last month and came across these pretty Nine West lace heels for $39.99.

Turns out my friend bought a pair for our other friend and for herself as well. Her sister even has a pair! These ladies have great taste, so it makes me even happier with my purchase.

Look,someone else was interested too...

That's Bacon's brother. He's such a cutie!

Okay, that's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!
